PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Outside hopes he might return after going through a full practice Friday, Steelers did not activate TJ Watt on Saturday. They will also be without their starting kicker and a former starting corner Sunday in Philadelphia.

Kicker Chris Boswell (12 of 16 FG this season) suffered a groin injury during the week and will not play. Neither will corner Josh Jackson also with a groin injury. Corner Levi Wallace is out as well with a shoulder injury. Opening day starter Ahkello Witherspoon will return for the first time since the Browns game. He had a hamstring injury.

Steelers signed kicker Nick Sciba who they originally signed as an undrafted free agent from Wake Forest on May 16 and then released on August 23. Sciba was 80 of 89 on career field goals in college, holding the NCAA record with an 89.9%. He scored a Wake record 433 points, which ranks him third in ACC history.

Defensive tackle Carlos Davis was also activated from the practice squad as Larry Ogunjobi was ruled out on Friday.

Watt started his practices on Wednesday and has 21 days from then before a decision needs to be made if he will be activated from Injured Reserve or lost for the season.
