Steelers rookie receiver Chase Claypool is standing by his comments that the Cleveland Browns will be “clapped” by the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Speaking to DAZN Canada, Claypool says, “if the Browns had won with more class, then I wouldn’t’ have been so salty.”
Claypool claims that the Browns were mocking his fellow receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster during the game and after the game.
“They were just super classless, you know against JuJu, toward JuJu with what they were saying, on the field toward the end of the game, so I’m not going to have respect that doesn’t have respect for us,” added Claypool.
Some browns players responded to Claypool’s initial comments but he says that doesn’t bother him at all.
“I don’t mind it, they can enjoy the win and another week of football, but they’ll be on the couch right next to me next week, so it’s all good.”
To be fair, Smith-Schuster was seen doing his “Corvette Corvette” dance on the field while the team was down big late in the game.
Claypool had a good rookie year with 62 catches for 873 yards and nine touchdowns.
