There are big questions surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers going into quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s possible final year.
FS1’s Colin Cowherd doesn’t see any success due to Roethlisberger still being the QB in Pittsburgh.
“Ben is committed when the whistle blows in camp to when it ends in January earlier than everybody in Pittsburgh wants, he’s limping to the finish line,” said Cowherd.
Cowherd has the Steelers finishing third in the AFC North with an 8-9 record, which would be the first time in Mike Tomlin’s career with the Steelers that he would go under .500 for a season.
“And eight wins, considering the state of their O-line, is gracious,” adds Cowherd.
Even if Roethlisberger is in the best shape of his life, that doesn’t change Cowherd’s mind.
“So congratulations on only two Natty Lights after dinner and sit-ups.”
He adds it’s like doing nothing with a house for 20 years and then when you try to sell it, you add a coat of paint.
“You think you’re going to fool people and sell it for top dollar, well you’re not going to fool a savvy investor or a savvy homebuyer,” said Cowherd.
