PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A key defensive lineman over his couple of years with the Steelers is lost for the season.

Steelers put Chris Wormley on Reserve/Injured list ending his season and signed defensive tackle Jonathan Marshall off the Jets practice squad.

"It sucks losing a guy like that," said Steelers OLB Alex Highsmith. "He adds so much value to our defense. You hate to see him go down, especially with that type of injury (knee). I really feel for him because he's been a great part of our defense ever since he's been here."

A sixth-round pick by the Jets last year, the 6'3", 320-pound Marshall played in four games in 2021 with a pair of tackles. He played in 45 games at Arkansas with 11.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles as part of his career.

The 29-year-old Wormley is in the final year of his three-year contract having made 16 starts with the Steelers with a pair of forced fumbles, 8.5 sacks, 88 tackles, 10 TFL and 14 quarterback hits.
