Did Najee Harris just inadvertently leak that T.J. Watt has signed an extension with the Steelers?
Prior to the Steelers practice on Wednesday on the South Side, the rookie running back was taking a video of all the shoes that cornerback Joe Haden has, a voice that is believed to be fullback and special teams captain Derek Watt is overheard saying, “Just cause he signed so late I guarantee everything’s going to be backtracked.”

While it’s not known what exactly Watt is talking about, some on social media believe it could mean his brother has signed an extension.
T.J. has been called a “sit in” this training camp and preseason and has yet to practice with his teammates, but has done intense workouts on the sidelines almost every practice.
Watt’s people have been in serious talks with the organization on an extension that would likely make him the highest played defensive player in the NFL, at least for now.
The main contention has reportedly been about the amount of guaranteed money he will receive.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not shy away from discussing TJ Watt’s contract status. The 18-year vet is firmly in Watt’s corner.
“I think TJ should get whatever the heck he wants,” Roethlisberger said Wednesday before practice. “He’s arguably the best football player in the game right now. Not just on defense, just in general.”
Roethlisberger added that there is no divide in the locker room and that everyone supports Watt in his quest to get an extension.
The Steelers practice until 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday and there won't be official word on if Watt practiced until later in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, Coach Mike Tomlin said he expected Watt to be a full participant with the Steelers beginning to prepare to play the Bills this Sunday.
