The Steelers already knew that the 2024 season was going to be a challenge with the teams on their schedule.
Now that the schedule has come out, it’s looking even more difficult.
“Who made this schedule,” asked former Steeler turned media superstar Ryan Clark on ESPN’s “Get Up” Thursday morning.
A lot can and will change between now and the beginning of the season, but as things looks now, the Steelers will need to win a lot at the beginning of the years if they want to make the postseason.
The Steelers don’t face a divisional opponent until Week 11. A November 17 game at home against the Ravens.
It’s brutal throughout the rest of the season.
At Browns, at Bengals, Browns, at Eagles, at Ravens, Chief and Bengals is how the Steelers second half of the season shapes up.
“What dude from Cleveland, all of the sudden got a job in the league office,” Clark jokingly asked looking at the Steelers schedule.
Injuries, weather conditions and other uncontrollable factors could change how this stretch of games look but, on paper, it looks bad for Pittsburgh.
To add insult to injury, the Steelers have the third hardest schedule in the NFL, when you look at the opponent’s win percentage.
There is good news though. The two teams in front of the Steelers with the hardest schedules: The Browns and the Ravens respectively.
