According to multiple reports, two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf has requested a trade from the Seattle Seahawks.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport say the Seahawks have agreed to explore options for a trade.
Pelissero added, “Days before free agency, the 27-year-old Metcalf immediately becomes the top receiver available. Metcalf has one year and $18 million left on his contract, and any team giving up the type of compensation it would take to get him will likely want to do a new deal."
The PM Team’s Andrew Fillipponi says he would give up the 52nd pick and a 2024 3rd round pick for Metcalf.
Donny Football says he would give up the 1st-round pick this year, saying Metcalf would instantly become the best wide receiver for the Steelers and is only 27-years-old.
Pomp & Joe producer Austin Bechtold says he would give up a 2nd-round pick for the 27-year old taken by the Seahawks in the 2nd round of the 2019 Draft.
This issue is Metcalf will want a new contract and that could be something like four years, somewhere between $120 and $130 million.
