Mike Tomlin has been the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach for over 14 years at this point in his career with an overall record of 155 wins, 88 losses, and 2 ties.
A lot of fans are calling for his 15th season to be his last. After the 38-3 bashing from the Buffalo Bills last Sunday, fans have taken up to twitter and other outlets to display their disappointment and anger towards Tomlin and OC Matt Canada.
It's completely expected though for Steeler Nation to react like this after a bad stretch or loss, being such a passionate fanbase.
Meanwhile, mainstream media has stayed on the opposing side of this debate though, claiming that Tomlin's track-record and history with the team is more than enough to keep his job.
Many, like Mike Tannenbaum, have stated it would be irrational for the organization to fire Tomlin at this time and that if he was, imagine the number of teams that would be fighting it out for his signature.
Bleacher Report just released a list of head coaches under fire, in which Tomlin made the list, but even they said putting him on the list was a bit of a stretch.
It should be clear to many now that this is purely a rebuild or stepping stone season for Kenny Pickett and the new-era Steelers.
That is not to go without saying, the organization may want to move in a new direction with a new quarterback. But, it seems improbable from a team built on loyalty that has only had 3 head coaches since 1969.
Tomlin has openly spoken out about how bad the team has been and claimed responsibility, say "It starts with me." If the team does go on to lose two more games this season, it would solidify his first losing season as a head coach.
