PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A former Pitt Panthers great and Heisman finalist highlights the group of 26 semifinalists for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Larry Fitzgerald has the second-most receiving yards in NFL history and will be a lock for this class, but is officially a semi-finalist in his first year of eligibility.
There is one former Steelers player in the group, also a receiver with 1,000 career receptions. It’s the 10th time Hines Ward is a semi-finalist for the Hall of Fame. Other receivers up for consideration-Colts Reggie Wayne (seventh time a semifinalist), Ravens/Panthers Steve Smith, Sr. (fifth time a semifinalist), Rams/Jags Torry Holt (semifinalist for a 12th time).
