Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky now with ESPN believes the Steelers are getting a better Mitch Trubisky than the player he was as a starter in Chicago.
While the Steelers have indicated that he will need to compete with Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins for the starting job this coming season, it's believed it's Trubisky's job to lose.
After backing up Josh Allen in Buffalo for a season, Trubisky will likely get a second chance at being a starter in the NFL.
Looking at tape from the 2021 preseason, Orlovsky says that his "timing and rhythm was better in the preseason with Buffalo compared to his play in Chicago.
"When Mitchell was younger, he would wait for guys to get open, mechanically he was poor," said Orlovsky.
Watch as Orlovsky explains how Trubisky has grown and why he thinks he'll be a better starter for Pittsburgh.
