The Jets lost Aaron Rodgers to the season just a few plays into the first game of the season, deflating the New York crowd.
Almost immediately names of possible replacements started floating around.
Colin Kaepernick’s people said he was interested and can still play (that comes out every time a quarterback is needed).
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says the Jets will likely go with Zach Wilson for now with practice squad quarterback Tim Boyle at backup…for now.
After that though, Fowler says retired Steelers quarterback is a “wild card” possibility, along with Tom Brady and Blake Bortles.
Free agents that could be possible are Carson Wentz, Joe Flacco, Colt McCoy and Nick Foles.
In reality, you’d think there is a less than one percent Roethlisberger would join the Jets.
Roethlisberger’s name was mentioned around the San Francisco quarterback job last season before Brock Purdy took over and has turned into the quarterback that he currently is.
