BUFFALO (93.7 The Fan) – Najee Harris says the Steelers need change.

The third-year Steeler said it isn’t as much about coaches, but that doesn’t make the changes he wants any less damning to read.

“It’s the rules in the building that we need to be more disciplined,” Harris said Monday after the game. “We got to be more committed, I’m not saying we are not. But coming from a place that has more structure and just seeing, we could probably get more help in these areas and it might make a change.”

“I’m not saying anything about coaches. I’m saying more in-house rules.”

He said it’s been like this his entire Steelers career and he doesn’t know what it was like before he got there. Harris said Coach Tomlin always told him to just play running back. The former Alabama star said if they want to elevate and achieve what they want, they have to change some in-house stuff. He said there isn’t anything he can do about that.

“I have my opinion on things, but obviously that doesn’t matter,” Harris said. “I’m just a player. The guys in that building know what I’m talking about. It’s not like this is the first time I said this before, probably first to y’all. If we want to get to where we want to be… we got to… yeah.”

And that ended the interview.

Harris made it clear it wasn’t about coaching changes, but obviously something internally needs to change in his mind.
