Amid rumors that he was in the best shape of his life and was on a better diet than Tom Brady were exaggerated, according to Roethlisberger himself a few days later.
The lay of Roethlisberger's "Different" shirt made it appear that Roethlisberger maybe had a bit of a budge in his mid-section.
While other angles showed he was in his normal shape.
While discussions of Ben's shape lingered for days, it turned out to be a whole lot of nothing.
So if a picture of a determined Ben caused a stir on social media, how about this one of a returning Aaron Rodgers reporting to Packers camp.
The NFL MVP showed up looking like a middle school student without a care in the world.
With big, colorful sunglasses, a backpack, slicked back hair and a "The Office" shirt in the style of "NBA Jam" Rodgers made his way into the Packers facility.
Imagine the criticism Roethlisberger would've faced if he had showed up to Training Camp looking like "The Dude" from "The Big Lebowski."
It is only one picture but with the tenuous offseason and standoff Rodgers had with Green Bay and Roethlisberger taking a pay cut and talking about bleeding black and gold, who would you rather have leading your team…at least from a visual perspective.
