On Tuesday, Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster's JuJu Foundation publicly announced the recipients of four $5,000 scholarships.
And while a lot of JuJu's charity work is made public, that doesn't mean he isn't helping when no one is looking.
Post-Gazette sportswriter Chris Mueller, (different from the PM Team host) was at the South Side Giant Eagle on Tuesday night and saw Smith-Schuster pay for a woman's groceries after she could find her debit card.
Mueller says the woman's groceries were already bagged and put in her cart by another person.
Smith-Schuster then went up with a purple Yahoo Sports hoodie on with the hood up and paid for the woman's groceries without saying anything.
Mueller says the woman was shocked not knowing who paid for the cart load of goods and was informed that it was the Steelers star WR.
The woman cried and thanked Smith Shuster for his kindness. He posed for a quick photo with the woman and then left quietly with his own groceries.
Smith-Schuster has a strong social presence and takes many opportunities to display his charity work but this example of a random act of kindness shows that he is the real deal.
