JuJu Smith-Schuster says he's not bringing his TikTok dances to Kansas City

JuJu Smith-Schuster is leaving his TikTok days behind him.

In a media session Sunday with Chiefs reporters, the charismatic wideout indicated he won't be taking his social media schtick to Kansas City. "Do I see myself doing that here? I'm here to work. I came here to win," he said, via Aaron Ladd of KSHB.

Steelers fans may take issue with Smith-Schuster's comments, since he implied doing viral TikTok videos and winning don't go together. JuJu's dance moves often invited controversy, most notably when he started dancing on opposing teams' logos during the 2020 season.

Last year, a video of Smith-Schuster doing the potentially dangerous "milk crate challenge" surfaced on TikTok before the season began, though he said the stunt was staged.

The Chiefs inked Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal worth $10.75 million. When news of the signing broke, Patrick Mahomes' younger brother, Jackson, offered to collaborate with Smith-Schuster on pre-game dance routines. (Jackson Mahomes is no stranger to social media controversy, either. Most recently, he was accused of scamming a company via TikTok.)

While Jackson Mahomes may be crestfallen Smith-Schuster may no longer be building his TikTok brand, the Chiefs are probably pleased. Smith-Schuster needs all of his focus as he aims to bounce back from an injury-riddled season.

"I made the decision to come here to win. I'm all about winning. I'm all about what I can do to help the team and produce," he told reporters Sunday.
