The Steelers released their final practice report on Saturday after practice and Justin Fields wasn’t on it.
On Sunday, Fields was reported to have a hamstring injury by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says that Fields will undergo tests at Acrisure Stadium on Monday before the Steelers game against the New York Giants to determine how severe his injury is.
Sources tell Rapoport that it’s not “a major injury” and that it didn’t cost him any practice time, as reflected on the Saturday injury report.
He adds the Steelers “will be cautious” if there are any issues with Fields’ hamstring.
Fields started the first six games of the season, while Russell Wilson dealt with a calf issue of his own.
The Steelers went 4-2 while Fields was under center.
There were reports that Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin may have had some gameday plans in place that included Fields.
