Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback Kenny Pickett has left the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an injury.
Early in the third quarter, the rookie quarterback took a big hit from Tampa Bay linebacker Devin White while attempting a pass to Diontae Johnson.
Pickett was hit in the chest hard and slammed into the ground, where the back his head hit the ground. He was able to leave the field on his own ability and taken to the examination tent on the sideline.
He was only in the tent for a short amount of time before he was ushered back to the locker room. Early in the fourth quarter, it was confirmed that Pickett suffered a concussion and won't be returning to the game.
Mitch Trubisky has taken his place since coming off and Pickett will end his day going 11/18 for 68 yards and throwing for his first NFL touchdown.
