After not having any more details on running back Najee Harris abdominal injury that forced him to miss the second half of Monday’s victory against the Colts, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has an encouraging update.
He says the Steelers RB “did not suffer a major injury, sources say.”
Rapoport added that is availability this week is still “up in the air” and he’ll be monitored at the week progresses.
The good news for Harris is it doesn’t appear his injury will keep him out of game action very long, if at all.
Harris was averaging 3.5 yards-per-carry on Monday night before he was injured.
He had a total of 35 yards on 10 carries.
Benny Snell Jr. and Anthony McFarland Jr. carried the running game the rest of the way with Jaylen Warren already ruled out before the game.
Benny Snell Jr.: 12 carries, 62 yards, average: 5.2
Anthony McFarland Jr.: 6 carries, 30 yards, average 5.0
