It was previously announced that the Steelers and Pitt will not have any fans in the stands during the month of August, but according to PA’s health secretary, it looks like the no fan bans will be extended for an unknown amount of time

In Pennsylvania, outdoor gatherings are currently capped at 250 people so any hopes that Steelers and Eagles fans will be able to attend a game anytime soon seem impossible.

During a news conference on Friday, Levine said that it is not worth the risk to put people together in “congregate settings.”

“We have no plans at this time to have fans come,” Levine said referencing fans in the stands.

Until there is a “substantial reduction in community spread,” fans will have to watch games from home.

Things like wearing a mask in public, social distancing, washing your hands or using hand sanitizer all help to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Levine added that the distribution of an effective vaccine is critical to eliminating coronavirus.

In Kansas City on Thursday, nearly 15,900 people were allowed in the stands for the first game of the season between the Chiefs and Texans.

Levine says guidelines in Missouri are different and that she won’t comment on fans being allowed inside Arrowhead stadium.
