Pickett has bone bruise, will practice Wednesday

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed during his weekly news conference that quarterback Kenny Pickett has a bone bruise.

Tomlin added that "he's scheduled to participate in some level of participation tomorrow and then proceed from there."

It sounds like if Pickett is feeling better, he will play. If he can't go, Tomlin says it will be Mitch Trubisky that starts.

"The more functional, the more comfortable, the more work he'll get," said Tomlin. "And then as we push forward toward the game, the quality of his work will be a determining factor of his availability.

Tomlin added that Pickett and other young players need to the "in helmet perspective on preparation."

He says Pickett is also prepared to practice tomorrow.
