Report: Steelers sign former 3rd-round defensive lineman off Chiefs practice squad

According to a report, the Steelers are signing a defensive lineman off of the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad.

NFL insider Aaron Wilson reports the Steelers are signing Brodric Martin.

The signing of Martin means he must join the Steelers 53-man roster. The move won’t affect the roster either, with the team having 52 players on the roster the past few weeks.

Although taken in the 3rd-round of the 2023 draft by the Detroit Lions, Martin doesn’t have much regular season experience.

He played 53 snaps over two seasons with the Lions before he was waived at the end of this past year’s training camp.

A few days later, he signed with the Chiefs practice squad.

Any team can sign a practice squad player from any other team, as long as they are immediately added to the 53-man roster.
