Rumor: Steelers have talked about bringing back Mason Rudolph

When the Steelers find their starting quarterback, whether it be Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson or another name, they’ll still need a backup.

According to 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi, that person could be a very familiar name…Mason Rudolph.

Taken by the Steeles in the 3rd round of the 2018 draft. He signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans last year.

He started five games for the Titans, going 1-4 with nine touchdowns, nine interceptions and a passer rating of 80.1.

If the Steelers do sign Rodgers and Rudolph, they’d be left with two pocket passers instead of the more mobile QB that Head Coach Mike Tomlin prefers.

The Steelers could find their backup quarterback in the draft.

Stranger things have happened in the NFL. On Monday, former Steelers 1st round pick Kenny Pickett was traded to the Cleveland Browns from Philadelphia.
