The Steelers may have gotten their next possible All-Pro offensive lineman just because Patriots coach and general manager Bill Belichick wanted to ‘f*** the Jets.”

Two anonymous NFL executives told the Washington Post that Belichick made the deal with Pittsburgh just to screw over the New York franchise, that recently acquired four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Belichick and the Patriots held the 14th overall pick but traded with the Steelers to move back to the 17th so Pittsburgh could nab Georgia tackle Broderick Jones, because he knew the Jets wanted Jones.

The Patriots received the Steelers 17th pick as well as a fourth-round pick.

What made the move odd to many NFL insiders was they thought the Patriots could grab at least a 3rd round pick as well.

“Belichick did it just to f–k the Jets. He sold low because he knew the Steelers were going to take the kid the Jets wanted to take,” said one of the execs.

The Jets seemingly panicked after the trade, taking edge rusher Will McDonald IV out of Iowa State with their pick.

Belichick has seemingly had it in for his divisional foe since 1999, when he abruptly resigned as the Jets head coach ahead of an introductory news conference.

The rest is history, Belichick would become the Patriots head coach, winning six Super Bowl titles over the next two decades.

While there is no love lost between Belichick and Pittsburgh, it’s looks like he did the Steelers a solid just to get back at the J-E-T-S…Jets.
