
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Roster moves and injury report as the Steelers wrap up Thursday practice on the South Side.
No surprise as wide receiver Diontae Johnson was not practicing, although not yet put on injured reserve. Joining him as not practicing Thursday, one of the bright spots from the San Francisco game, tailback Anthony McFarland, Jr. with a knee injury. Four were limited-Chukwuma Okorafor (concussion), James Daniels (ankle), Pat Freiermuth (chest) and Larry Ogunjobi (foot). Daniels told 93.7 The Fan on Wednesday he expects to play Monday.
Steelers officially put Cam Heyward on the Reserve/Injured list meaning he’s out at least four weeks, but all reports are it will be longer.
After a strong camp, receiver Dez Fitzpatrick was added to the active roster. Thought to be a potential sleeper signing coming back from injury, former Cowboys starting corner Anthony Brown was released. A pair were brought back to the practice squad after being released earlier this week-running back Greg Bell and corner Luq Barcoo.
Steelers have two more practices this week due to the Monday Night game against Cleveland.
