PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers released a number of players on Monday, a day before the deadline to get down to 53. Among them is a local player.

Wilkinsburg's Kenny Robinson ran with the first-team for much of camp while there were injuries. The fourth-year safety was released on Monday.


Another veteran who was added early and seemed to have an opportunity to have a back-up role was released. 30-year-old tackle Le'Raven Clark is gone. He plaed four years with Indianapolis, one each with Philadelphia and last year with Tennessee. Tackle William Dunkle was also released.

Tanner Muse came to the Steelers after his first two seasons with the Seahawks, it was thought he could be a special teams factor and also a back-up linebacker. The signing of Kwon Alexander has camp started impacted his opportunity. Also let go, linebacker Toby Ndukwe.

The rest of those released-CB Lavert Hill, DL Manny Jones, QB Tanner Morgan, RB Darius Hagans, S Jalen Elliott.
