Steelers made T.J. Watt the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history

The Steelers have just made T.J. Watt the highest-paid non-quarterback in history.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and others report the former Defensive Player of the Year has signed a 3-year extension worth $123 million with $108 million guaranteed.

That means Watt will make an average of $41 million a year.

The Steelers gave Watt what he wanted, more money than Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.

The Steelers report to Latrobe for Training Camp next week.

Last year Watt played all 17 games for the second straight season and for the second time in his career led the NFL in forced fumbles (6) and for the sixth time in his career finished with at least 10 sacks (11.5).

Watt was a no-show for mandatory minicamp in May and there was speculation Watt may have held out of Training Camp. We don't need to know, now that he has a new deal.
