According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Steelers are waiving wide receiver Denzel Mims.
A former second-round draft pick for the New York Jets, Mims had been with Pittsburgh since last October, when he signed to the team’s practice squad.
He then signed a reserve/futures contract with Pittsburgh this past January.
The move opens up a roster spot on the 90-man heading into Training Camp in Latrobe.
Mims appeared in 30 games with the Jets between 2020 and 2022. He has 42 catches for 676 yards and no touchdowns. He also spent some time with the Lions.
With the Steelers waiving Mims, could a deal be in the works?
