According to reports, the Steelers have signed their first round pick Broderick Jones.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says they've agreed to terms. It's a four-year deal with a fifth-year option for the Steelers.
The Steelers made a deal with the Patriots and traded a fourth round pick to move up from 17 to 14 in this year's NFL Draft to take Jones.
"It was great today," said first-year Steelers GM Omar Khan after Jones was drafted.
"It was a win-win. I'm just excited we got Broderick Jones, it's exciting."
Jones was a 2022 first-team All-SEC selection and didn't allow a single sack last season.
"All the hype is over," Jones said during rookie minicamp. "I'm in the building now, ready to work, ready to put the time and effort in to be the best version of me. So, I'm ready to get to it."
The Steelers also signed second, second round pick, defensive tackle Keeanu Benton.
Benton is 6'4", 309 pounds and the third Badgers defensive player drafted by the Steelers in the last six years.
For a 300-pounder, he had some of the best speed and agility numbers at the NFL Combine. His next generation stats are top seven of any of the defensive line prospects and fifth best overall. He's a two-time All-Big 10 player, including a third-teamer last year with 35 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and a pair of pass breakups.
Second round pick Joey Porter Jr. is the last rookie that needs to sign his deal.
