According to a report, the Steelers are signing a member of the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad to their 53-man roster.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Blake Martinez is signing with the Steelers.

The 6-foot-2, 237-pound inside linebacker has seven years of experience in the NFL.

Martinez retired from the NFL last November, leaving the Las Vegas Raiders, to pursue a career selling Pokémon cards.

His company, “Blake’s Breaks” buys and sells Pokemon cards. The Associated Press reported he generated $8.3 million in revenue over nine months.

One card was sold for $672,000.

The company was removed from an online social market pace after there were accusations of buyers being scammed.

His company is currently on hold while he addresses issues within.

Earlier this month, Martinez returned to the NFL, signing with the Carolina Panthers practice squad.

Taken in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the 29-year-old Martinez played his first four years in Green Bay, spent two years with the New York Giants and before retiring, played four games with the Raiders.

He has started in 78 games over his career, paying in 84, but has only started in five games over the past two years.

He has 706 total tackles, 13 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, four interceptions, four forced fumbled and three fumble recoveries.
