Steelers sign three players to practice squad

The Steelers have added three players to their practice squad.

The team announced on Wednesday morning that outside linebacker Jack Driscoll, safety Darrick Forrest and wide receiver John Rhys Plumlee has all been added to the roster.

Driscoll was taken in the fourth round of the 2020 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and other than a quick offseason stint with the Miami Dolphins has spent his entire career with the Eagles.

He’s played in 67 games over his career, starting 18. He was also a member of the team when the Eagles won the Super Bowl last season.

Forrest was most recently on the Colts practice squad before being released on September 13. He spent most of the offseason with the Bills after four years with the Commanders. In 40 games with Washington, 17 starts, Forrest had four interceptions, nine passes defensed, 137 tackles (84 solo), one tackle for loss.

His reputation is more of a run-stuffer than coverage DB. Forrest is 26-years-old and Washington’s fifth-round pick in 2021 out of Cincinnati.

Plumlee was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of UCF in 2024 before being waived in August 2024.

He has also spent time with the Jaguars and Seahawks.

Plumlee has no regular season experience in the NFL.
