PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It's still a long, long shot, but the Steelers playoff chances keep improving. Teams the Steelers needed to lose on Saturday, did.
The Browns, now 6-9, were eliminated from the playoffs with a 17-10 home loss to the Saints. A walk-off loss last week and then unable to overcome a 22-0 deficit in a loss to Cincinnati dropped the Patriots to 7-8. The Jets lost to Jacksonville on Thursday night and New York is now 7-8. The most unexpected help came from the now two-win Texans as they beat the Titans in chilly Nashville. Tennessee is now 7-8.
There is still a long way to go and a lot of things that have to happen, but games have fallen their way so far this week. A Packers and Colts win over the Dolphins and Chargers would be a royal flush for the weekend.
