PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers put offensive tackle Broderick Jones on the Reserve/Injured list after he suffered a neck injury against the Bears last week.
The 24-year-old had started every game this season and 38 in his three-year NFL career after being the Steelers first-round pick in 2023 (14th overall). Andrus Peat will start in his place against the Bills. Steelers also have veteran Calvin Anderson as a potential answer at tackle or Spencer Anderson, who has primarily been a guard, can also play tackle.
To fill the roster spot, the Steelers activated corner Asante Samuel, Junior from the practice squad after he was signed a couple of weeks ago. Samuel played four games with the Chargers last year before needing spinal fusion surgery to fix a shoulder issue.
A second-round pick by Los Angeles in 2021, Samuel played 50 games with the Chargers (47 starts) with six interceptions, 37 passes defensed and 176 tackles.
