Titans coach not surprised Steelers game postponed

Mike Vrabel says he didn't have much of a reaction to the announcement

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel said he didn't have much reaction to the NFL postponing the Titans-Steelers game. Vrabel said he expected all along that the game would not happen on Sunday.

"We have conversations and try to prepare for everything," Vrabel said.  "We were always cognizant that there could be a situation that could arise like the one that has happened in the last couple of days."

Vrabel said they will prepare for the game being on Monday and if it's moved just deal with that then.

"Our players were understanding, probably a little shocked at first," Vrabel said Wednesday afternoon. "There have been different weeks where both teams have played on short weeks. We've played three games in 13 days, and there have been other teams that we've played and I'm sure Pittsburgh has played, that have had more days to practice. I'm confident that we will have days to practice and to prepare for Pittsburgh."

The third year Tennessee coach said the extra day of waiting could help them with their injury situation, which includes left tackle Taylor Lewan, receiver A.J. Brown and corner Adoree Jackson.
