When Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin is on scene at a college's pro day, there are a lot of eyes on him.

That's something he is fully aware of and admitted during he and General Manager Omar Khan's pre-draft news conference he sometimes messes with those watching him.

Tomlin was asked to reflect with meeting Justin Fields back in 2021 before the now Steelers quarterback was drafted.

The meeting between Tomlin and Fields got a lot of attention at the time.

"Sometimes at pro days, I'm looking at people that I'm not interested in because I know everyone's watching," said Tomlin.

Tomlin is unique when it comes to NFL head coaches visiting so many college pro days.

Tomlin and Khan visited four pro days this offseason, but have attended more in past years.

"I understand my movement, what I pay attention to, who I conversate with all becomes media fodder so, sometimes I have fun with (the media)," said Tomlin.

Khan as asked about how he reacts to knowing Tomlin is meeting or talking to players he isn't necessarily interested in.

"Sometimes I think he's trying to trick me too," Khan said jokingly. "I can tell you the information that he gets, just being around the players and getting to know those guys and other people that are there, other coaches, college coaches, it's pretty awesome."

So, try to remember next year. When Tomlin is at Georgia's Pro Day, don't freak out if you see him talking to the punter.
