PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Mike Tomlin said for the final preseason game that all who are healthy will play. However. Plus, what Tomlin said about the quarterbacks before playing in Detroit on Saturday.

Tomlin said basically it will be the quality of play of the starters that will determine how much or how long they play. He's mostly talking about the offense in that regard and said there will be no schematic restrictions.

"We want our regulars to find some rhythm," Tomlin said. "I want to see the fruit of their labor that we've seen out here on the practice field. We've had some really awesome practice days, shown really good consistency and fundamentals and splash play ability. But I haven't seen it in stadium yet. In a perfect world I would like to see that in a stadium before I move on to some other guys that are trying to get a job for themselves."

Russell Wilson will be the starting quarterback and he said nothing has changed from Wilson being in the pole position. He hasn't officially named him the starter, Justin Fields said when asked about it that he deferred that question to Tomlin.

Other notes
·     Tomlin said rookie nickel Beanie Bishop will play Saturday and declined to discuss why he hasn't been out there. He said the starting nickel situation is a work in progress.
·     He wasn't ready to discuss two-deeps at this point, saying they are trying to get from 90 players to 53.
