This is a plea for one of the best dudes in Pittsburgh to get an award he deserves.
Cam Heyward undoubtedly deserves to be the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner.
Unfortunately, Heyward is not currently in the top five for voting.
When he's not practicing or playing for the Steelers, Heyward seems to spend most of his other time giving back.
Heyward started The Heyward House that is a "non-profit organization . . . dedicated to impacting the lives of underprivileged children."
Heyward's fights childhood cancer, illiteracy, hunger, supports students and teachers and more.
He even hosts a "Cam's kindness week" doing volunteer work every day, all over Pittsburgh for an entire week. Visiting UPMC Children's Hospital, donating toys, reading to kids and more.
He also established Craig's Closet, named after his after Craig "Ironhead" Heyward.
It provides nice clothing for kids that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it.
Cam is a great player on the field, but his off-field work makes an even bigger impact in the Pittsburgh area.
Having met Cam only once, for a brief time, I can saw Heyward is everything that is advertised.
Vote as much as you can and help Cam get the award he deserved.
