Sounds like Ben Roethlisberger is setting himself up for a hero’s return on Monday night.

The Steelers quarterback said Wednesday morning he is expecting some “rust” when he hits the field for the first time in nearly a year against the New York Giants.

“There’s going to be rust, there’s no doubt about it but hopefully we can get it knocked off sooner than later,” said Roethlisberger.

He also added that he will be “shaking like a leaf” but that only means he cares about the game and if he wasn’t nervous, he would think there was something wrong.

The Fan Morning Show said this is vintage Ben.

“Tell them I’m going suck, tell them my arm is going to fall off . . . but I came back and was the conquering hero,” said Dunlap.

“So when my QB1 goes out there Monday night and throws for 436 (yards) and four touchdowns . . . I’m telling you he’s setting it up, man I want no one else but Ben under center but does he set himself up to be the conquering hero or what,” said Dunlap.

Roethlisberger also talked about his future with the Steelers and said he is going to give it everything he has this year and doesn’t know what the future holds but expects to honor his contract that extends through next year.
