93.7 The Fan’s Paul Zeise says that Bill Cowher was a great coach, a Pittsburgh legend and that “he did a lot of good things here.”

That being said, Zeise says that the now NFL on CBS host is “way out of line” when it comes to his opinion of the Colts hiring Jeff Saturday as their head coach.

Here is what Cowher said, in part:

“For an owner to hire a coach who has never been an assistant at the college level or the pro level, and to [have] overseen very much a lot of candidates who qualified for that job — as we’ve seen [in Carolina] with Steve Wilks — an opportunity to build a resume, it’s a disgrace to the coaching profession,” Cowher said on Sunday. “Regardless how this thing plays out, what happened in Indianapolis is a travesty.

Zeise says those comments are rich considering Cowher is now in broadcasting and got into it without any experience.

“If we’re going to talk like him, let’s talk like him, it’s a disgrace to the profession,” said Zeise.

“It’s the most disingenuous, nonsensical, B.S., hypocritical, garbage thing I’ve ever heard somebody say,” said Zeise. “And because he’s Bill Cowher, people won’t call him out for it, he deserves to be called out for it.”

Zeise added if he was Jeff Saturday, he’d put up his middle finger after the Colts win on Sunday and said, “that’s for you Bill Cowher.”
