Are you one of the people that wondered by you were paying for all those sports stations when there weren’t any live sports during the beginning of the pandemic?
Comcast Xfinity has announced some customers will see a refund on their cable accounts soon.
In a statement given to 93.7 The Fan Comcast explains the company has been working to get money back from sports networks that did not air live baseball in April May and June.
The full statement reads: “Comcast has been working on behalf of our customers to secure fee adjustments from Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) for MLB games that weren’t played in the second quarter of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have started to receive some of those credits and are passing what we receive through to our customers, as promised. We will issue any other adjustments as we get them from the RSNs.”
The refund to customers comes out to around $5 dollars, but as the statement says, as more money is received by Regional Sports Networks, customers will continue to see a refund.
