Imagine the week begins with losing your job and a few days later you’re working for Pat McAfee and the WWE.
On Wednesday, The Pat McAfee Show announced the former “The Athletic” Steelers beat writer as joining the show to cover the black and gold as well as the NFL.
On Thursday, things got even better for Kaboly.
It was revealed on McAfee’s show that Kaboly has also been hired by World Wrestling Entertainment as a digital writer.
A WWE Spokesperson confirmed Kaboly is now officially with WWE.
Kaboly will be writing “select post-event recaps” for WWE’s website. He’ll also do features on current and past wrestlers and “contribute to other digital properties.”
“Yeet baby!” said an excited Kaboly. “I am covering Pittsburgh Steelers NFL football for the Pat McAfee Show and the WWE wrestling. I am the ultimate Yinzer of all Yinzers. I should be cracking open an Iron City Beer right now.”
McAfee said as long as he’s working for him, he can crack open an “Arn”.
Kaboly’s son is a huge WWE fan and Mark said on X his son asked him, “Is your boss now Cody Rhodes?”
Kaboly said he’s also a life-long WWE fan and is willing to do whatever they need, except take a chair shot, which he says he has taken one in the past.
Luckily for us at The Fan, Mark will continue to provide Steelers insights all season long!
