Hoppus announced in June 2021 that he would be undergoing chemo treatments for the stage 4 lymphoma that he was diagnosed with -- and in September of that same year revealed that he was cancer-free.

"A year ago I was in chemotherapy. Today I'm here," the blink-182 bassist, now 50-years-old wrote on his Instagram Story while sharing a gorgeous photo of the Italian coast. Mark also shared a series of adorable photos with his wife, Skye, while they were vacationing.

Interviewed by TMZ back in April 2022, Hoppus fueled the reunion fires when he was asked how he was feeling being out and about again. “Life’s great! I’m glad to be here,” he admitted, adding that he wanted to "get back playing music, and get off of my couch,” with hopes to release new material soon. “We’ll see if I can write something happy this time," he said with a laugh.
