Backstage in the Forum Club at KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2022, host Kevan Kenney sat down with Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers of Wet Leg to talk about their meeting superstar songwriter Jack White and finally getting some rest after an already crazy year.

5X-GRAMMY nominees Wet Leg are at the tail end of a whirlwind year and are looking forward to their upcoming four-date residency in New York City from December 13 through 16 before finally getting some much-needed rest.
"Honestly, we're just a bit spangled all the time," admits Hester. "It's been a really long year but we're definitely ready for a long lie-down in our own beds, recharge and get some beans back -- eat some beans and toast."
"Baked beans, Marmite, a good cup of tea," adds Rhian. "Which obviously you can put it in your suitcase and have it when you're here, but when you're on a bus... it's just very difficult to find the facilities to make those kinds of snacks."
Before taking a holiday break however, the band will be bedding down in NYC for a few days as they perform at a few different venues around the Big Apple. "We're doing four nights in different venues," Rhian explains, "but we're gonna stay in the same hotel, so that will be nice."
Also nice would be some sort of collaboration with Jack White and Wet Leg, something fans got a whiff of when White posted a picture of himself with the members on social media just last week. Rhian and Hester admit they met, and possibly stalked, Jack at a festival they had both performed at. "We were kind of shepherded into his dressing room," Rhian says, with Hester adding they were unsure how he would react because he was about to take the stage. "He was super nice to us... he's a legend."

Up for multiple GRAMMYs this year, including Best New Artist, Rhian and Hester are looking forward to the celebrations but haven't given much thought to their fashion options yet. "We might just wear our skin suits... Mmmmm," Rhian says with a smirk.
