During her appearance on the Today Show, Jennifer Lopez gave host Hoda Kotb a little taste of her own medicine and the good-natured shade is too perfect not to share.

On the show to dish about her new movie Marry Me, Lopez was also (and might we add unsurprisingly) asked some questions about her personal life. You know… Ben Affleck related questions.
During the interview, Hoda’s co-host Savannah Guthrie started of the questions by connecting Jen’s movie to Bennifer 2.0, asking how the couple ended up back together again after all these years.
"I know you don’t necessarily want to spill your guts about something that is personal and belongs to you... But I think so many people can relate to the one who got away or the one you always wondered about. How did you find each other again?" she asked.
Jen dodged giving an outright response, telling the women that they could "talk about that backstage" choosing to keep relationship details off TV.
However, she did speak a bit about cherishing love by keeping it a private matter. Noting, "I think what we learned from the last time is that love, when you are lucky enough to find it, is so sacred and special, and you have to hold a little bit of that privately, and that’s what we’ve learned. But we’re very happy, if that’s what you’re wondering about.”
Then, a bit later in the interview, Hoda picked up a copy of the new "Love Issue" of People magazine with Jennifer’s face splashed on the cover. Pointing out how beautiful Jen looked, Hoda held up the magazine while strategically covering up news in the top corner about her own relationship woes with her ex Joel Schiffman.
“You look beautiful on People. Let me just block out this corner,” Kotb said, covering the news about her (only seen on the print version) with her hand.
“Why you trying to block out the corner? You don’t want to talk about your personal stuff? Is that what it is, Hoda?” Lopez said laughing as she grabbed the magazine from the host
“Touché,” Kotb replied. “They call that mutually assured destruction,” Guthrie, chimed in.
Okay but seriously we’ve re-watched the savage moment like 10 times and we’re still living for it. Watch it all go down below.
