Lisa Marie Presley dies after suffering cardiac arrest

Lisa Marie Presley, the 54-year-old daughter of Elvis Presley, died Thursday at a hospital after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at her home in the Calabasas/Agoura Hills area.

TMZ reported that paramedics responded to the 54-year-old’s home in Calabasas. People reported Thursday evening that Presley had died.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department told City News Service that crews responded at 10:37 a.m. on a report of a woman in her mid-50s suffering a cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital at 11:17 a.m.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told PEOPLE Magazine that paramedics were able to regain a pulse before she was taken to the hospital

TMZ reported that she was in an induced coma and in critical condition before reports of her death.

The singer-songwriter is the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She’s also the mother of actress Riley Keough.

“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care," Priscilla said in a post on Facebook. "Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time.”

Two days prior, Presley attended the Golden Globes with Priscilla where Austin Butler won for his portrayal of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann's film of the same name.
