The Los Angeles natives, formed in 1983, will receive the 2,717th star bestowed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Hollywood Historic Trust during a special unveiling to be attended by P-Funk’s George Clinton, Woody Harrelson, Bob Forrest, and host Nicole Mihalka. Fans will be able to find the Chili Peppers’ star located at 6212 Hollywood Blvd., beside the famous Amoeba Records, in between Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak, and late talk show host Jack Paar’s stars.
“I’m pretty sure that I have inadvertently vomited on Hollywood Walk of Fame stars in my lifetime,” singer Anthony Kiedis tells Variety ahead of the ceremony. “I’ve certainly slept on top of Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame stars in my lifetime. I’ve trod upon them not as a tourist but as a person running from the authorities or possibly running from somebody that I owed money to.”
This long-overdue honor comes as the Chili Peppers' brand new 2022 record, Unlimited Love, is scheduled to arrive on Friday, April 1. Listen to the hot new singles "Poster Child," and "Black Summer" now.
