“Firefighters engaged in an aggressive attack, with interior fire attack and rooftop ventilation, against flames consuming the 1,104 square-foot home built in 1924,” said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Nicholas Prange.
One occupant was found with burns and taken to a local hospital, Prange said.
It took 35 firefighters about 16 minutes to knock down the blaze, according to Prange.
He added the Red Cross was notified to assist with about five residents who were displaced.
