1 killed in mid-Wilshire shooting; possibly involving U.S. Marshals Service

A person was fatally injured Monday in a shooting in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles Monday that may have involved the U.S Marshals Service.

Paramedics sent to the 6300 block of West Wilshire Boulevard about 11:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting involving a "law enforcement agency" pronounced one person dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A second person was treated at the scene for an undisclosed injury, the LAFD reported.

The case involved the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and reports from the scene. ABC7 reported that a suspect was shot in the head.
