
ONTARIO, Calif. (KNX) – A water rescue was launched Tuesday morning after six people were swept by a current, leaving one person dead, fire officials said.
It happened at 9:45 a.m. in the 1200 block of E 4th Street, according to the Ontario Fire Department.
Three of the six people have been rescued.
Officials said it is an ongoing incident. The public is urged to stay clear of the wash and all emergency personnel at this time.
Just after 2 p.m., fire officials confirmed one person was found dead and two more people are still missing.
