The Boise State football team is set to arrive in Los Angeles Tuesday for a series of practices and events leading up to Saturday's LA Bowl against UCLA at SoFi Stadium.

The Broncos will practice Wednesday and Thursday at Harbor College in Wilmington, visit Top Golf in El Segundo Wednesday and Universal Studios Thursday.

Boise State earned its berth in the game by upsetting UNLV, 44-20, in the Mountain West Championship Dec. 2 in Las Vegas, with Talen Green throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns while running for 90 yards and another score.

However, the Mountain West Championship's offensive MVP won't play in the LA Bowl. Green posted on social media on Dec. 4 that he would be entering the transfer portal and on Monday announced his commitment to Arkansas.

The departure of Green, who started 12 of 13 games, and a season- ending knee injury to Maddux Madsen on Nov. 11 leaves Boise State without a quarterback who has thrown pass in college. Either redshirt sophomore Colt Fulton, a Santa Margarita High School alum, or freshman C.J. Tiller, a Rancho Cucamonga High alum, will start at quarterback for the Broncos.

Boise State (8-5) has won four consecutive games, including three since defensive coordinator Spencer Danielson replaced the fired Andy Avalos Nov. 12 on an interim basis. Director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey announced Dec. 3 that Danielson had the job on a permanent basis, subject to approval by the Idaho State Board of Education.

The Bruins (7-5) will be without their Lombardi Award-winning defensive end Laiatu Latu, who opted out of the game to focus on finishing school and preparing for the NFL draft, coach Chip Kelly said Monday.

Oddsmakers made UCLA a 2 1/2-point favorite when the matchup was announced Dec. 3. The Bruins are now a 3 1/2- to 5-point favorite. ESPN Analytics gives UCLA a 58.2% chance of winning.
