A staple of the Chuck E. Cheese experience was the animatronic band that would perform every half hour or so. Unfortunately, the animatronics seem to be a thing of the past.
Executives with the chain say that by 2024, all animatronic bands will be removed from every Chuck E. Cheese restaurant nationwide.
According to Spoon University, Chuck E. Cheese chief executive David McKillips says this is a move for the restaurant to “keep up with the times.” The animatronic band will be phased out in favor of “more screens, dance floors, and trampoline gyms.”
